Five things you arrange once. After that you reply in half a minute instead of eleven.

Your preparation

RegistrationChannelLetterPapersID

0 of 5 ready. Right now you reply in 11 minutes; with all five, in half a minute.

Your next step

Choose your area to see where to register.

Arrange your registration

Tap a tile to go there. This changes nothing about when you get the alert. That is the same moment for everyone.

Account and filter are extra. You can respond without them.

The five things

Registered with the housing allocation system no seconds

The biggest step of all and the only one that saves no seconds. In your regional housing allocation system, how long you have been registered matters. That clock only starts when you register. Today is always better than next year, even if you are not looking yet.

Choose your area above. This will show which housing allocation system to register with, what it costs and what counts.

Channel connected saves hours

Without a channel you only hear about it when you go and look yourself. That is exactly the refreshing this service was built against. go there

Response letter ready −5 min

The biggest time saver of all, and the dullest. Fill it in once, after that only the address changes.

Your papers in one PDF −2 min

Payslips, an employer statement and a landlord reference in one file with a boring name, on your phone and in your email. The time is spent finding the file rather than putting it together.

Copy of ID redacted −1 min

With your citizen service number crossed out and 'copy for rental application' written across it. A landlord may not ask for your number and you do not have to give it. go there

Extras, when useful

An account with providers that require one −2 min

Some providers only let you respond when you are logged in or have a profile. Do that today. A password reset email takes three minutes to arrive and those are three minutes you do not have.

Filter sharp enough no seconds

A filter that is too wide costs you time on every alert that does not fit. A filter that is too strict costs you the home. go there

Why these are five things: Preparation is two things

Letter

We fill in the address as soon as you reply to an alert. What is deliberately not in it: your occupation, your employer, your hobbies and why you in particular suit this home. A landlord may not ask that of you at this stage, and it does not help you.

What we do and do not accept from you

We do not ask for this

  • Your citizen service number. There is no field for it, not even hidden away somewhere.
  • Document numbers from your passport or ID card.
  • A copy of your ID. You give that to the landlord when you sign, with the sensitive parts blacked out, and not to us.
  • Anything this page does not ask for. If it is not listed, we do not need it.

This is what happens to it

  • It is stored encrypted, with a key that does not live in the same database.
  • It stays for three months. Two weeks before that runs out we ask whether it can stay; extending is one click.
  • Do nothing and it goes. Doing nothing is an answer too.
  • Tell us you have found a home and they go straight away. Deleting on request is always possible, with the same button.

What we do not promise: that nothing will ever go wrong. Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is hoping you will not read on. We do everything we can to handle this carefully, and the strongest measure is that we keep it for as short a time as possible: a file that is no longer there cannot be stolen. We accept no liability for damage caused by theft or a break-in; what we do do is set out above and in the privacy statement.

Without an account we store nothing. Then this page only remembers in your own browser that you have the documents, and that is enough for the counter above. See also what a landlord may ask.

Also under: I'm waiting for a heads-up

Get ready

Registration, a channel, your letter, your papers and a masked ID. Five things you arrange once. After that you reply in half a minute instead of eleven.

Why am I getting nothing

Free is a few sources per area, unfiltered. A tight filter or a small area means little comes through. Missed homes shows what passed by without reaching you.

What you missed

How fast is it right now

The status page shows every round: how long the last one took, how many homes opened and how fast the alert went out.

Status and speed

An account with the providers

With some providers you can only respond once you are logged in. Create that account on a quiet moment, not when the heads-up arrives. A forgotten-password email takes three minutes.
